Hardly, barely, not much/many

• I hardly watch TV.
• He barely does the laundry
• There is not much time left.
• There are not many spots left.

Hardly anyone came to the meeting! (almost no one came)

We went to our friend’s house and there was hardly anything to eat.

He now lives in a different country so we hardly ever see him, but we try to keep in touch.
