Passive Voice - An overview

In English, all sentences are in either Active or Passive voice.

In Active voice, the subject that does the action comes first.

He washes the car everyday.

In Passive voice, the object that receives the action comes first.

The Passive voice is formed by using Verb to be + Past participle.

The car is washed everyday (by him).
