If you’re planning on seeing some of the tourist sites, it’s a good idea to know what options you have. These could be places that you’re planning to visit but also activities to do.

While doing my research, I just browse the internet for travel articles and blog posts to find out some of the most recommended places to see in London. And I’ve narrowed my options down to three: two primary sites and one backup option.

The Tower of London

• Built by William the Conqueror in the 12th century.
• Home of the Crown Jewels.

The Tower Bridge

• Late 19th century.
• Two towers - 61 meters all.
• Over 11,000 tons of steel and 70,000 tons of concrete.
• Takes 5 minutes to open.

The British Museum

• First public national museum in the world.
• Contains over 8 million works.
