… to express plans or intentions that didn’t happen.
I was going to call but I didn’t have time.
Pay attention to the conversation and fill the gaps
- “I was going to call you but I’m glad I see you now”.
- “I wasn’t going to bring any snacks but thanks for the idea”.
- Ana was going to leave early today but she´s staying to help Cesar.
- They weren’t going to meet for lunch after the meeting.
